PIP - Nickel quilt

Ten layers of fabric laying on my Studio die cutter and......

.........Wah-la, its all cut!

I was able to cut 200 -  5" squares in about 20 minutes!

after sewing 2-5" sqs together and cutting, then you take the half sq triangles and sew to a full 5'sq

my goal - the Liberty Star from one of Pat Speth's Nickel Quilt books

Have you had a chance to sew since our fabulous retreat? I haven't and looking at your pictures makes me want to put everything else aside and get back to those nickel blocks! Here's the challenge..... who will finish first, me with my 30's prints quilt or you and your beautiful blue & orange batiks. My goal is to have the top done by the end of March and the finished quilt hanging in the shop for Shop Hop in June. Will yours be hanging beside mine....The challenge is on!

Love that Liberty Star quilt! Good luck and I'll be watching for a show & tell when it's completed.
