UFOs

Unfinished Objects - How many of you have projects or lists of projects that are unfinished that as the new year starts you are hoping to finish sometime during 2011?  How many of you made the same lists in January of 2010?  Well, I hope I'm not the only one that can say "yes" to these two questions.  I've been reading lots of quilting, sewing, crafting blogs the last few days and seems that almost every blog that I came across had some comment(s) about wanting to make a stronger effort this year than last - to FINISH.

I'm terrible at staying focused on one project till the finish.  It almost feels like wearing a pair of new shoes that are too snug.  After awhile, you just gotta get them off and give your feet a breather.

Well, I've decided to join a group to finish some of my UFOs.  I found that it is more energizing to finish if I have to account to someone or something (like a bit of a contest).  Sew Its Finished looked like a fun group to join.  Most of the groups that are running contests, etc - that I've found are quite large.

So, I was wondering if any you who visit my blog would want to do a group here thru my blog? It would be  challenge for each month.  For each UFO that becomes a FINISHED OBJECT, the person would get a ticket in the drawing at the end of each month.  If you cross off 5 items on your UFO list, you would get 5 chances in the drawing for a prize.

If this is something that you would like to participate in, please leave me a comment to let me know.  If there is enough interest, I'll host one.  It would be for any project having to do with fibers (sewing, quilting, knitting, crochet, cross stitch, etc)
