a WONDERFUL pillow...

...for a special puppy made by

 MASON

Sorry this is a bit blurry...the fabric was moving.

Mason is 9 years old and he likes to sew on
Grandma's (thaz meee) sewing machine.
He is a bit short to reach the foot pedal...
if it was sitting on the ground.  But, we
found a remedy for that!

It's an Ikea step stool...It works grrreat for
the short leg challenge.

One of the greatest most...
WONDERFUL times I spend with grandchildren...
is sharing my love of sewing, quilting, and other crafts!
This is a WONDERFUL pillow made by a WONDERFUL grandson...

Do you share your WONDERFUL talents with
YOUR children and/or grandchildren?

What WONDERFUL things to you share?

Look at that face - intently sewing and then so pleased with the outcome! I have shared with my grandson since wee - learning colors, learning to count, learning shapes. But now (4yrs old) he is the bestest to play with my scraps and turning them into crumb blocks.

He is so cute. My grandson helped me pick out fabric for my Farmer's Wife blocks and turned the handle on my Go Baby. We had lots of fun for the forty-five minutes his attention span lasted.

I love to see young people taking an interest in sewing. He's a doll, and the pillow he made looks great.

My youngest made a quilt when he was 12. He used his great grandmothers fabrics and sewed them together. He tied the quilt all by himself, then put on the binding mostly by himself.

How fun to have your grandson share in your joy of sewing. Neither one of my girls ever showed an interest in sewing and both of my grandsons are still too young. I hope you are having an absolutely marvelous time :)

Those are wonderful pictures. Grandchildren love to sew, craft and cook with Nanny. Aren't they wonderful. A stool for the sewing machine foot pedal! Good idea!

My granddaughter is too young still, but you bet I'm going to sew with her! LOVE kids sewing! Sweet.

My Grandmother planted a love of crafty things in me at a young age. First it was needlepoint, then cross stitch, then embroidery.

Grandma never taught me to sew, but without her early influence, I would have never taken up the craft.

How AWESOME that you are teaching your grandson to sew.
