just 60 minutes a week!

Yep...just 60 minutes of exercise per week can strengthen your

HEART.

And, some good news... you don't have to do it all at once,
...says, Dr. Oz
You can do 10 minutes 6 days a week... of aerobic activities.

A brisk walk in the park, or

...you could do aerobics in a pool or hot tub

Play tag or a physical game with kids or grandkids.
Quick vacuuming or mopping, sweeping the front porch
can be aerobic if you are getting your heart rate up for the
allotted time.  If you want to do less days...you could do
20 minutes 3 days.
It can work magic for the health of your heart...

Treadmill - 2 miles 5 days...1 day 3 miles.  I'm still struggling to do more
      days at 3 miles.

Food - I tried VERY hard to only eat when I was really hungry.  Then,
I ate not too much...and drank LOTS (water 80% - juice 20% mix)

Weight(loss?) - I'm down another 1.6 this week.  I guess I really was
eating too much - too many calories.  Hopefully I can keep up
      the strict pace.

How did you do with YOUR goals this week?
Do you have some new goals that you would like to
make...or maybe RE-commit to for this week?

Keep your goals simple to start...and add to them
as you succeed.  When we can put, even small, successes
in our memory banks...it can fuel our motivation
BIG TIME!  =)

LOL Loved the little funny~ maybe that is my excuse too. ;-) Congrat's on losing!~ that is great! I always thought it was better to have a fruit or nut snack than to wait to eat until you were really hungry~ kind keeps the energy up better~? Hope you have a great weekend!

"just" 1.6 lbs? Really? Seriously - Go to the kitchen and pull out 6 sticks of butter and tell me that's not much! Great job! Wish I had the diet drive - I'm covered on the exercise front, but I just don't eat like I should!

Congratulations! I noticed my weight was creeping back up. I figured out I was drinking too much of the coffee/hot chocolate/creamer mix that I love, so I went back to drinking water, or hot tea with skim milk, and I was able to lose those few pounds. The things we drink can have a lot of calories! Keep up the good work!

Congrats Annie! Keep up the great work! I really laughed at that cartoon, hilarious! What you said is so true, about eating when not hungry. I remember Oprah talking about that once. I should put a post-it on my fridge reading "Are you really hungry? Or just bored?? Think before you eat."

Way to go! A loss is a loss. People forget exercise can be fun- I love playing with my hula hoop while I watch TV!

Good for you, especially with the water.
I did ok this week, not as good as I hoped. I had a temp and a little bug over the weekend and wan't feeling my self until Tuesday. I did have tofu with veggies this week for dinner and few fruit and soy protien smoothies.

You have done so well this week Annie. I had a minor set back while visiting the US to buy fabrics and cool stuff. I put on 2kg. I am surprised it wasn't a lot more considering all the rich food we ate. I have lost half a kilo so far since getting home. My goal this next 4 weeks is to do a routine of 2 days yoga and one day weights continuously til I leave on my next trip. Loosing some more weight would be good too :)

Congratulations on your loss, Annie! That is great. Keep it up. You know, when you hear that even 10 min of exercise is good for you, it's hard to think of an excuse not to do it. On the days when I don't have energy to do my full workout, I'm going to make an effort to just move for 10 minutes. I can always do that.

Thanks for the recipe too. I haven't had meat in 2 months so I'm really on the prowl for good veggie recipes these days!

Well gee, I could certainly use a good support diet buddy. I was thinking about getting a dog to go running with, but I might just go to the humane society and take one for a daily walk for awhile and decide if I really want a dog. I have 14 cats, but somehow they don't want to go on a leash. LOL

Congratulations on being 1.6 pounds closer to your goal. I didn't lose any weight, but I did manage to exercise 4 times this week and drank lots of water everyday. This week I plan on keeping a log of everything I eat so I can see why I'm not losing. I suspect that I'm eating more than I realize.

Good for you. I think you have been inspiring me to get some exercise, I'm way behind you in what I can do at this point, but getting better.
