A blanket for Bertha

It gets quite dusty in my sewing room, more so than other areas of the house. And, sewing machines can put up quite a fuss with mis-behavin stitches and other types of antics...if they get too much dust collecting on them.

So I made a fun cover for Bertha.

I wanted to make the "blanket" to cover the embroidery module when attached .
I also wanted the fabric to be something that would make me smile!

Yep...singing and dancing frogs will definitely make me smile =D

Do you have a cover for your machine? If so...what's it like?

Good idea. I'm still using the plastic cover that came with my machine about 30 years ago. It's a bit battered now and I keep meaning to sew a new one.

Cute fabric you have used, Annie. I made a cover for my machine from an Australian magazine called Homespun. It's much nicer than the hard cover that came with the machine.

Cute frog fabric! I have both hard and soft covers for all the machines. Only use them when the machine is going to sit a while - mine are usually always
ah-hummin'!

I just got an email for a comment from "McStamper". But, sadly I cannot reply because the email was a "no-reply blogger". Even clicking on the name only took me to a page where blogs followed are listed. =(

I have fabrics pulled to make covers for 2 of my machines, but, I still haven't had time to start on either of them. Cute frogs!

Great fabric. Sadly my machines still have the plastic covers that they came with. Pretty covers are on my to do list.

What a cute cover! One of my machines has a nice cover I made from a Kati Cupcake pattern, and the other has a towel over it. :-o I need to make another cover!

That is such a fun fabric and sure to make you smile. Yes I made a cover for Lucy last year and I too smile each time I look at it. I blogged about it here http://quiltsfrommycrayonbox.blogspot.com/2013/10/just-wickedly-ghastlie-and-giveaway.html

Now my Penelope needs a cover too.

It is a bit embarrassing to tell this, but I do not own a sewing machine.
