should I get into "trouble"...?

Sssh, don't tell anyone, kay?  ...but, I need some help...
Remember when I was at that
"Ugly Fabric Quilt Retreat" a week or so ago?
ummm.... have to admit,
there were a few (maybe more than a few) times,
when I was supposed to be sewing, and...I
("hooky player" that I am), was upstairs....
touching, feeling and mingling with FABRIC.
A particularly HAPPY quilt hanging high on the store wall...
...kept winking it's eye and flashing BIG pink n' green smiles!
It has it's own free pattern?!...O!, I'm in LUV!
 In a matter of minutes,
yardage and pattern were in my bag...

Well, that was a dangerous place
for a quilt retreat...INSIDE a FABRIC STORE!

so...here is my DILEMA...

I should be working on one of those PIPs.
Remember this "Slash a Stash"..I brought out from my shelf
 last week?
I was motivated to get this particular one off the shelf.
Key word here ..... "was"...

The bright colors and crisp newness of the
collection below .....sweetly calls my name
every time I walk by....sigh...

Yep, this is theeee ONE that I bought while sneaking
upstairs during the retreat...
Did you see the name of the quilt?...Quite Contrary...
kind of befitting my mood right now...

I should work on the Project In Progress...but, I'm not feeling
so very motivated to...

What should I do?  What would YOU do?

You even need to ask? Oh, would so work on the NEW project. That fabric is just right for that pattern and you sound like you are in the right mood for it.

Tuck that PIP in a clear plastic zip bag so it is in sight so when the spirit hits - it will be in SIGHT.

Oh that fabric is just sooo cute. I know what you are going through. I got some Max and Whiskers fabric and I am tempted to get to my baby quilt before I finish my Farmer's Wife. I say go for it.

Here's my theory! Unless, I have a gift pending deadline, I will choose to work on where my heart leads me! I think you already know the answer!

Simple! Work on the one that makes you happy!! We do not have to finish all we start! That is what the UFO pile is for! those fabrics are just beautiful!

I'd work on the new one....Not feeling guilty at all...have fun with it and when ready...go back to the PIP....Life's too short to worry about what we should/could be doing!

Who do you have to please? Only yourself I do believe... so if you want to start on the new project... GO FOR IT!
It's not like the other PIP or UFO is going to rot if left eh? lol
