wasting time?

I was just visiting the blog of a wonderfully fun artist..
She is on of my favorites!

Mary Englebreit

On her last post she wrote,
"The time you enjoy wasting, is
NOT wasted time"
Along with the quote she has thee cutest artwork
of a boy laying on the grass looking up at the sky
If you have a minute, go take a look...click

The cousins in Gig Harbor searching for
"sea life"
Sometimes.... we need to think like children
to really enjoy life... =)

When was the last time you "thought" you might be
wasting time...but, it turned out to be one of your
best times?

How cool to get a response from ME.
I guess I waste precious little time since I am enjoying the time I have in retirement so much.

"The time you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted time." Good one.
That little quote makes me feel so much better. I just love to play with my fabrics and mess with my scraps, thread, yarn, read books, read and write blogs. I enjoy it so. Kinda thought it might be wasting time ... maybe not :D

Stopped in at Mary's blog and discovered she draws on her shoes, like my 12yo, when being creative :D
I find myself wasting time drawing lately - my dairy cow wandering around the paddock , the dead tree across the road, a block design for a quilt block and trying to figure out how to piece it in squares/triangles so I don't have to hand applique as I'm not good at that. It's relaxation for the mind and the soul. For a quick fix and result I take my camera when I let the dogs off for their daily run and practise motion shots on auto or fiddle with the manual settings to discover new ideas.
Cheers,
Robyn

This makes me feel better about the time I spend looking at fellow bloggers sites and getting creative ideas or just enjoying what makes them joyful.

That is a very nice thought. I did pop over there and look at that cute little picture. She is a wonderful artist/designer! I have always loved her books, patterns, fabric...I guess I need to follow her blog too! Thanks

Sometimes I feel as though I'm wasting precious time reading blogs but I always enjoy it so very much. Definitely not wasted when I learn and enjoy.
