Saturday's Health Wize...MB..

MB??? ....Whuz that?
Well MB stands for Motivational Buddy.

On Doctor OZ a week or so ago they talked about how
important it was to use a buddy system when it comes to
losing weight, eating healthy, and exercising.  You can
read more about the importance HERE
and...
Click HERE to read and print your own
personal Buddy Brochure.

I have an MB and she is a very good friend.
We talk regularly about your goals, what we have
accomplished during the week and even our failures.
Talking about our failures is just as important as the
successes, because we help each other to stay focused
and not lose sight of our goals.  We tell each other that
ALL is not lost just because of a leeetle slip up or TWO.

Because we are both fabri-holics/sewers/quilters...we have
started another little motivational tool.  It's fun and keeps us
motivated.  We weigh ourselves each Saturday morning.
We subtract take the weight of the previous week and
the current week and tally the difference (either down or up)
Whoever has the best "score" for the week gets a fat
quarter from the other person.  Example:
If I am .8 above the last week and she is only .4 up,
then I owe her a fat quarter.  Or if we are both down
in weight, it's whoever is the most down.

Do you have someone that is or would be a
Motivational Buddy with YOU?

RUBY's REPORT

Treadmill - 5 days @ 3miles... I was kind of slow this week, not sure why
Food  -  I feel like I was better this week with my food choices.  I made more effort to
eat more veggies and fruits.  I did go out to lunch and had fried green tomatoes (YUM!)
And, ate white bread and butter.
Weight - I'm down 1lb this week...waHOOO!!

=================================

How did YA ALL do this week?
Were you Health Wize?
Do you move a little bit more...and/or try harder
to be more careful with "bad" foods?
IT'S SO
WUNNYFULL...when YOU SHARE or
UPS and DOWNS...YOU motivate us =)

Thank you SO much for sharing!

I agree MBs are incredibly important. I have found one for my quilting. I still have my moments, but they are fewer and far between.... I've accomplished more in the past month than I have in months.

My husband's company's Christmas party is next weekend, and I am finding that especially motivating. I lost all my baby weight after my first 2 kids, but after this third, I am still 30 pounds over. This past week I have been really dieting well, but finding the time to exercise is hard now that it's so cold outside.

MB - what a great idea and very official sounding, too :).

Congratulations on your pound lost! That is no small feat this time of year.

I slipped a bit this week because the rainy weather prevented me walking for 4 days straight. I have the advantage of it being Summer here atm and it always seems easier to lose weight in warmer weather as the temptation of warming comfort food isn't there. Lol, I still have to 'weather' Christmas socialising yet! That will be a challenge.
Cheers,
Robyn

So proud of you. I slipped up this week. Thanks for the recipe, I can actually make that, I have the ingredients, but it will be with ice instead.

I did fairly well until I went to Branson. UGH. Got on the scales this morning and had gained a pound. Was very good today though. New week in a new month...
