Fab-link Friday...buttons and giveaway

Well actually there are two links today.

One is at

She is doing a VERY NICE giveaway for
some REALLY COOL buttons made
from a REALLY GREAT company called

(this is a quote from Sew Cal Gal's Blog)

 Jennifer's main goal these days (apart from creating gorgeous buttons for you to sigh over) is to uplift previously disadvantaged women in the community and provide much needed employment and skills. Truly this is a company with a conscience and a cause.

Some members of the ButtonMad Team have been working together from the very beginning. Nine of the eleven official South African languages are spoken by the ladies...one big family united by the common thread - being Mad about Buttons!

Please, take a few minutes and check it out...even if you don't want
to buy any buttons...it's a great story of those helping others =)

================

I'd LUV to hear from you...
Do YOU collect buttons?  Do YOU use them often in your
sewing/quilting crafting?

I have a couple of jars of buttons in the basement. I'm planning on using some of them in the next few weeks for a project. My oldest son had fun going thru the button over Christmas. He needed a button for a coat, and found just what he needed.

I have quite a few buttons. I wouldn't say I collect them, but I used them a lot when I made handbags. =)

Our local store that carried those buttons went out of business. :( Yes, I love to collect old buttons. The grandchildren always enjoy playing in my buttons.

I don't collect buttons, I hoard buttons :). I really wish I had saved more of my grandmother's collection but I was a dumb teenager when she passed and didn't realize how special they were.
